CAMP EN PLEIN AIR 2017

Where: Various Locations in Stony Brook
Cost: $45 per day. Includes materials and a snack.
Sun Porch Studio offers art instruction to children with a focus on building skills in creative risk taking and developing artistic confidence. All children are honored as working artists and their imaginative ideas help guide their personal creative process. Although children work in the same art medium, instruction is given on an individual basis. To help each artist work towards a personal potential, classes are intimate and cap at 8 students.
What will we be doing?
Artists have been painting outdoors for centuries because nature offers inspiration for creating art that celebrates a love for our surroundings.
At CAMP EN PLEIN AIR, children will discover the natural wonders in our neighborhood. We will explore landscape drawing and painting while learning about our local environment.
On Wednesday, June 21, we will be meeting at Frank Melville Memorial Park from 1-3:30pm
On Thursday, June 22, we will be meeting at The Stony Brook Duck Pond and Grist Mill from 1-3:30pm.

We hope to see you at the Sun Porch this summer!
During the warmer months, SUMMER ARTS @ THE SUN PORCH offers art workshops to adults in landscape painting, and ceramic glazing. Our creative experiences are for adults who yearn to remember what it feels like to get messy and create magic with their hands. No experience is EVER necessary, however, you must be willing to laugh and value wabisabi, the belief that there is beauty in the imperfect.
